The company’s stock was at its highest in more than 10 years after Air Canada announced analyst forecasts had significantly underestimated one of its earnings benchmarks. According to chief executive Calin Rovinescu, Air Canada’s EBITDAR (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, amortization, impairment and aircraft rent) will be better than the $475 million average forecast by analysts for the three months ended June 30. The company’s second quarter results will be announced Aug. 4.
