first_img Latest posts by Fenceviewer Staff (see all) CASTINE — Thirteen student-athletes at Maine Maritime Academy were recently named to North Atlantic Conference and New England Football Conference all-academic teams for the fall sports season.Earning NAC honors were senior Jeremy Bullard, a marine biology major, in men’s cross-country; senior Kari Jones, an international business and logistics major, in women’s soccer; and senior Ben Russell, a marine systems engineering major, in men’s soccer.To be selected, a student must have reached junior academic standing with at least two years of varsity competition and have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.5.Receiving NEFC honors were senior Gavin Cote in marine systems engineering; senior Jonathan Thoms, juniors Dan Edgerly and Zach Frost and sophomore Josh Hall in marine engineering operations; juniors Abe Kilborn and Evan Sinclair and sophomores Lawrence MacDonald and Keith Nelson in marine engineering technology; and sophomore Alex Morrison in power engineering technology.This is placeholder textThis is placeholder textHonorees must have completed three semesters at the same institution with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.For more sports news, pick up a copy of The Ellsworth American.
